Privacy notice

This notice explains how Lift & Shift ("we", "us") handles the personal details you send through this website, by email or by phone. Lift & Shift is a Dublin-based furniture collection and local delivery service.

Who we are

Lift & Shift is the controller of your personal data. Contact: info@liftandshift.ie or 083 837 4214.

What we collect

• Details you enter in the enquiry form: your name, email address, optional phone number, collection and delivery areas or Eircodes, preferred date, service type and a description of the items.
• Anything you send us by email or tell us by phone about an enquiry or job.

Please do not send payment card or bank details through this website.

Why we use it and our legal basis

• To reply to your enquiry, check availability and give you a quote. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To carry out and manage a job you confirm, and to keep records. Legal basis: performance of a contract, and compliance with legal obligations such as tax and accounting records.
• To keep our website secure and prevent spam. Legal basis: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who handles it for us

• Netlify, which hosts this website and receives form submissions on our behalf.
• Zoho, which provides our business email.
• Google Fonts, which supplies the website typefaces. Your browser contacts Google when the page loads, and Google may receive your IP address.

Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact details and a record of your enquiry or job so that we can recognise you and deal with you properly if you contact us again, until you ask us to delete them. Records of completed jobs are also kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your details at any time (see below).

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy, or object to our use of it. Email info@liftandshift.ie and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission: dataprotection.ie.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies.

Changes

If this notice changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
